Section 25(1) in The Calcutta University Act, 1979.
(1)There shall be the following Councils for undergraduate studies:-(a)the Council for Undergraduate Studies in Arts, Science, Commerce, Home Science, Fine Arts and Music;(b)the Council for Undergraduate Studies in Medicine, Dental Science, Homoeopathy [,Veterinary Science, Nursing] [Words inserted by W.B. Act 44 of 1980.] and Ayurved;(c)the Council for Undergraduate Studies in Engineering and Technology.
