Section 1 in Tamil Nadu Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1978
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1978.(2)This Act extends to the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu.(3)(a)This Act, except sections 14, 15, sub-section (3) of section 20 and sections 27 and 48, shall be deemed to have come into force on the 3rd day of August, 1976.(b)Sections 14, 15, sub-section (3) of section 20 and sections 27 and 48 shall come into force on the date of the publication of this Act in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette.
