- Vocational guidance to school leavers should on the following principles;-(1)A thorough analysis of the pupil's assets and liabilities, his strength and weaknesses, using the tests and other sources of information described above, special note, should be taken of the pupil's socio-economic background, interests, curricular activities and personality characteristics.(2)Matching the pupil's characteristics with the general requirements of the category of job that is suitable to the pupil's educational level. In other words, it has to be determined whether the pupil's ability, attainment, interest, aptitude, socio-economic background, personality characteristics, physical health, etc., correspond most with the nature and requirement of a clerical or a technical job, trade or business, etc.
