Section 67 in The Bihar Primary and Middle Education Rules, 1961

67. District Education Map.

(1)Each District Superintendent will maintain in his office one set of revenue thana maps showing therein by means of suitable symbols, prescribed by the Director from time to time, the location of primary middle and secondary schools of different categories. These maps should always be kept up-to-date and should also show the boundaries of different Anchals in red lines. On the right hand side of each revenue thana map, the following particulars should be shown:-
(a)An index giving the details of the various symbols used:
(b)a chart showing the revenue thana number of each village, the name of the village, its population (male and female to be shown separately), the number of children of school-going age/underage groups 6-11 years, 11-14 years and 14-17 years: and
(c)particulars of schools in such villages in respect of which the space in the main map is so small as not to permit the use of symbols in the body of the map,
(2)A similar set of revenue thana maps shall be prepared and bound in a book form. One book for each map shall be sent to the Director for record. These sets of maps should be sent by the Director to the District Superintendent in April each year and the Superintendent should return them to the Director latest by the end of May after filling the particulars corrected up to the 31st March of the year.
