Section 33(2) in Punjab Boiler Operation Engineers' Rules, 2001
(2)A candidate for a Second Class Certificate of Proficiency as a Boiler Operation Engineer shall not be less than twenty three years of age and shall not be admitted to an examination unless he possesses :-(a)a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering recognised by the Institution of Engineers (India) for exemption from their studentship examination;(b)not less than one year's training in operation and maintenance of boilers and auxiliaries of any industry or power station; and(c)not less than three years' practical experience in operation of boilers having heating surface of not less than one hundred square metres.
