Section 26 in The Orissa Medical Registration Act, 1961
26. Power of Council to call for certain information from authorities of Medical College or School included in the Schedule.
(1)The Council shall have power to call on the authorities of any examining body included in or desirous of being included in the Schedule-(a)to furnish such reports, returns or other information as the Council may require, to enable it to judge the standard of the examinations held by such body and of the efficiency of the instruction given in the Medical Colleges and Schools or Institutions where candidates for the examination by such body are trained; or(b)to provide facilities for enabling any member of the Council deputed by the Council in this behalf to be present at the examinations to be held by such examining body.(2)The Council shall have power to inspect any Medical College or School or institution where candidates for examination by such examining body are trained and may for this purpose appoint a Special Committee of not more than three members of the Council to inspect any such Medical College or School or institution and submit a report in regard thereto to the Council.
