18. Publication of final list of contesting candidates and assignment of symbols.
(1)After scrutiny of the nominations, a final list shall be prepared (Territorial Constituency-wise) in alphabetical order in Form-11 of persons whose nominations have not been rejected and who have not withdrawn their candidature and displayed it on the Notice Board of the office of the Returning Officer.(2)If poll is found to be necessary the final list of candidates shall specify the names of the distinctive symbols allotted to them, in the order of approved list of symbols (list of symbols appended in Annexure I and II). A specimen of the symbol allotted shall be supplied to the candidates at the time of publication of the final list of contesting candidates.
