(a)On and from the date of commencement of these Rules there shall be constituted a Civil Service to be known as the Delhi Judicial Service.(b)The service shall have two grades, namely (i) Civil Judges (Senior Division); and (ii) Civil Judges (Junior Division);(c)The posts in both the Grades shall be Civil Posts Group A Gazetted;(d)A person appointed to the Service shall be designated as Civil Judge(Junior Division) or Metropolitan Magistrate or as Civil Judge (Junior Division)-cum-Metropolitan Magistrate in accordance with the duties beingdischarged by him for the time being.]
