(5)The Governing Council shall have the following powers, namely:-(i)to control functioning of the University by using all such powers as are provided by or under this Act, the regulations or the statutes made thereunder;(ii)to review the decisions of other authorities of the University in case they are not in conformity with the provisions of this Act, or the regulations made under this Act;(iii)to approve the budget and annual report of the University;(iv)to lay down the extensive policies to be followed by the University;(v)such other powers as may be prescribed by the regulations.
