Section 34(2) in The Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958
(2)In particular, and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely :-(a)the manner and form in which the registers and notices shall be kept;(b)the officers who may be empowered to inspect registers and call for information as required by this Act;(c)the agency by which and the manner in which the prosecution shall be instituted;(d)the form of submitting a statement, the particulars under sub- section (1) of section 13, the manner in which registration of establishments is to be made and the form of registration certificate under sub-section (2) and the form for notifying a change under sub-section (4) of section 13;(e)the authority to and the manner in which any notice required by this Act, shall be given;(f)the conditions subject to which any exemption under this Act may be granted;(g)the manner in which the employer of an establishment shall keep exhibited in the premises the close day, closing and opening hours and such other particulars as may be prescribed; and(h)to safeguard health, safety, and welfare of the employees while on duty.
