Section 304 in The West Bengal Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989
304. Duty to comply with traffic control signals.
(1)Every driver of a motor vehicle shall, when driving the vehicle in a public place comply with any traffic control signal given to him by any police officer in uniform, for the time being engaged in the regulation of traffic in such public place.(2)In this rule "Traffic Control Signal" means traffic control signal as illustrated in the Schedule to the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989.
