Section 24(v) in The U.P. Pravidhik Shiksha (Admission Conduct of Examinations and Conferment of Certificates and Diplomas) Regulations, 1992
(v)Grade marks so awarded shall meant to condone, the deficiency in the respective marks and not for altering the marks actually gained or the aggregate thereof, as such there shall not be added towards calculating the division/honours.
