Section 54(3) in Cuttack Development Authority (Planning and Building Standards) Regulations, 2001
(3)Every room to be used as kitchen shall have(a)Unless separately provided in a pantry, means for the washing of kitchen utensils which shall lead directly or through a sink to a grated and trapped connection to the waste pipe;(b)An impermeable floor;(c)A chimney not less than 500 square centimeters in area after plastering if fire-wood, coal or like materials is used which will generate smoke;(d)Window of not less than one square metre in area, opening directly on to an interior or exterior open space, but not into a ventilating shaft;(e)In case of multi storeyed residential buildings with 15 metres and above height refuse chutes shall be provided.
