The Karnataka Appropriation Act, 2017(Karnataka Act No. 13 of 2017)Statement of objects and Reasons - Amending Act 13 of 2017. - This Bill is introduced in pursuance of the provisions of Article 205(1)(a) of the Constitution of India to provide for the appropriation of certain further sums out of the Consolidated Fund of the State towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the part of the Financial Year 2016-17.[L.A. Bill No.16 of 2017, File No. Samvyashae 23 Shasana 2017] [Clauses (1) and (3) of Article 207 of the Constitution of India](First Published in the Karnataka Gazette Extra-ordinary on the 31st day of March, 2017)(Received the assent of the Governor on the 31st day of March, 2017)An Act to authorize payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka for the Services of the Financial year 2016-17.Whereas it is expedient to authorize payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated fund of the State for the services of the Financial Year 2016-17.Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Sixty Eight Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

1. Short Title.

- This Act may be called the Karnataka Appropriation Act, 2017.

2. Issue of Rupees 759094.33 Lakhs out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka for the Financial year 2016-17.

- From and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka, there may be paid and applied further sums not exceeding those specified in column 5 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of Rupees Seven thousand five hundred and ninety crores ninety four lakhs and thirty three thousand towards defraying the several charges which will come in the course of payment during the Financial Year 2016-17 in respect of the services specified in column 2 of the Schedule.

3. Appropriation.

- The sums authorized to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the said year.
