Section 37 in THE THUNCHATH EZHUTHACHAN MALAYALAM UNIVERSITY ACT, 2013
37. The University Librarian- (1) The University Librarian shall be appointed by theVice –
Chancellor with the approval of the Executive Committee in accordance with the Statutes andshall be responsible for the purchase, cataloguing, issue and receipt and maintenance of booksand journals and other information materials in other formats for the library.(2)The University Librarian shall help the Deans and Directors in acquiring books andother manuscripts and information on other storage media and avail facilities for informationnetworking.(3)The University Librarian shall be responsible in the acquisition of the most pertinentbooks and journals and in maintaining the technological and intellectual standards of theUniversity Library.
