Section 7(3) in The Bangalore Metro Railway (Carriage and Ticket) Rules, 2011
(3)Contactless Smart card:(i)contactless Smart card shall be of two types, viz. Metro Contactless Smart Card and Combo Contactless Smart Card.(ii)while Metro shall have only contactless chip for ticketing application, the Combo Contactless Smart Cards shall have both contactless chip and a magstrip for ticketing and banking application, respectively in one card;(iii)both Metro Contactless Smart Card and Combo Contactless Smart Cards shall have the same functionality as far as ticketing is concerned.
