(1)Every Police-Officer-in-charge of police station within the jurisdiction of the municipality and every officer, and every other employee, subordinate to him, if any, (hereinafter referred to in this section as the designated authority), shall -(a)co-operate with the municipality for carrying into effect, and enforcing, the provisions of this Act and for maintaining good order in and outside the municipal area, and(b)assist the municipality or the Municipal Commissioner or the Executive Officer or any other officer or other employee of the municipality in carrying out any order made by or under this Act.
