Section 36 in Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) Regulations, 2014

36.

The norms of operation as given hereunder shall apply to thermal generating stations:
(A)Normative Annual Plant Availability Factor (NAPAF)
(a)All thermal generating stations, except those covered under clauses (b), (c), (d), & (e) - 85%
Provided that in view of shortage of coal and uncertainty of assured coal supply on sustained basis experienced by the generating stations, the NAPAF for recovery of fixed charges shall be 83% till the same is reviewed.The above provision shall be reviewed based on actual feedback after 3 years from 01.04.2014.
(b)Following Lignite-fired Thermal generating stations of Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd:
TPS-I 72%
TPS-II Stage I & II 75%
TPS-I (Expansion) 80%
(c)Following Thermal Generating Stations of DVC:
Bokaro TPS 75%
Chandrapura TPS 75%
Durgapur TPS 74%
(d)Following Gas based Thermal Generating Stations of NEEPCO:
Assam GPS 72%
(e)Lignite fired Generating Stations using Circulatory Fluidized Bed Combustion (CFBC) Technology and Generating stations based on coal rejects :
