Section 16 in Rajasthan Electrical Inspectorate (Formation of Technical Committee and Grant of Licence, Competency Certificate to work and Permit to work) Rules, 2016
16. The functions of the Technical Committee.
- The Technical Committee shall perform the following functions: -(i)To grant electrical contractor's Licence in form as may be prescribed by the State Government;(ii)To grant electrical supervisor's competency certificate to work and permit to work as supervisor in form as may be prescribed by the State Government;(iii)To grant permit to work as chartered electrical safety engineer in form as may be prescribed by the State Government;(iv)To grant electrical wireman's competency certificate to work and permit to work as wireman in form as may be prescribed by the State Government;(v)To send recommendation to Energy Department, Government of Rajasthan in the matter of designing and revision of the syllabus, conducting examinations for electrical supervisors and wiremen and on any other matter necessary for implementation of these rules and resolving problems if any;(vi)To do other such work as the Government may direct from time to time in connection with the enforcement of regulation of the Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulation, 2010 in the State; and(vii)Enquire or to arrange to enquire into violation of any of the provision of these rules on the part of Electrical Contractors, Chartered Electrical Safety Engineers, Supervisors and Wiremen and to take appropriate action as specified under these rules.
