55. Election of Vice-President.
(1)Within three days of declaration of the result of the election of the President under Rule 54 or failure of a election under Sub-rule (8) of Rule 49, the Commissioner shall issue or cause to be issued a notice in Form No. 16 notifying the date, time and place of election to the office of the Vice-President.(2)Simultaneous with the notice issued under Sub-rule (1), the Commissioner shall also issue or cause to be issued a notice in Form No. 14 calling for the names of the candidates desirous for the office of the Vice-President.(3)The procedure outlined for the conduct of election to the office of the President under the foregoing rules shall mutatis mutandis be applicable to the election of the Vice-President.
