Section 19 in Gujarat Organic Agricultural University Act, 2017
19. Functions and Board of Studies.
(1)The University shall have the faculties.(2)Each faculty shall have the Board of Studies consisting of the following members, namely:-(i)the Dean of Faculty - Chairperson;(ii)the Principal of the constituent colleges;(iii)all Heads of the Departments of the concerned faculty;(iv)one senior faculty member from each Department, to be nominated by the Dean of Faculty;The senior Head of the Department shall be the Member-Secretary.(3)The functions of each faculty shall be as follows, namely(i)to review teaching programmes and suggest improvement thereof;(ii)to consider the recommendations of the Committee of the courses and curricula and submit to the Academic Council the same for approval;(iii)to perform such other functions as may be assigned to it by the Academic Council or the Vice-Chancellor.
