Section 18(2) in The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Act, 1998
(2)The Registrar shall be appointed, -(a)from amongst the academicians in the field of Health Sciences who are not lower in rank than that of a Professor of five years standing; or(b)from amongst the officers of the Government, who are not lower in rank than that of an Additional Secretary to Government; or(c)by transfer from amongst the Registrars of the Universities of Health Sciences, or Medical or Technical Universities in the country.
