20. Training and examination.

- The selected candidate shall be required to undergo pre-service training and pass the post-training examination and the departmental examination, if any, in accordance with the rules as prescribed by the Government in that behalf.Appendix[See Rule 6](A)Written Test:
(1)The written test shall consist of the following:
Paper   Subject Marks Duration
Paper I   Any one, subject to be selected from the list ofoptional subjects set out in para (2) below. 200 02 hours
Paper II Part A English 50 01 hour
Part B Gujarati 50
(2)List of optional subject for Written Test Paper 1.
(1)Mechanical Engineering;
(2)Automobile Engineering.Note. - (i) The paper I and II shall be objective type.
(ii)The standard of paper I shall be equivalent to the degree Examination of Mechanical or Automobile Engineering or an equivalent Examination.
(iii)The Commission shall clarify in the advertisement for the option to be given by the candidate for Paper I of the written test and the candidate shall have to opt for any one subject as specified in the list above, in his application form.
(iv)The standard of Part A of paper II shall be equivalent to the English subject (lower level) of twelfth standard of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
(v)The standard of Part B of paper II shall be equivalent to the Gujarati subject (higher level) of twelfth standard of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
(vi)The syllabus for each of the paper shall be such as may be prescribed by the Commission.
