Section 23(6)(a) in The U.P. Pravidhik Shiksha (Admission Conduct of Examinations and Conferment of Certificates and Diplomas) Regulations, 1992

(a)At least 33 per cent marks in English and at least 40 per cent marks in each of the remaining subjects separately in the written tests (including sessional records) and at least 45 per cent in the practical tests (including sessional records) in such subject.
