Section 4 in Andhra Pradesh Language Pandit Training Colleges (Regulation of Admissions into Pandit Training courses through Common Entrance Test) Rules, 2007

4. Eligibility criteria for Admission.

- The eligibility criteria for admission into Pandit Training courses shall be as mentioned below:
(i)Candidates should be Indian Nationals.
(ii)The candidates should satisfy local/ non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institution (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended for admission into Category-A seats in un-aided pandit training colleges and for seats in University, Government/aided Colleges.
(iii)Candidates should have obtained a rank either in LPCET/LPCET-AC conducted for the academic year concerned and should satisfy the eligibility qualifications prescribed as below for each Pandit Training course.

  Praveena of Dakshina Bharat Hindi PracharaSabha (OR) Vidwan of Hindi Prachara Sabha, Hyderabad (OR) anyother equivalent recognized qualification in Hindi (B.Astandard) (OR) M.A. (Hindi)
Urdu Pandit Training course B.A. (Urdu Literature) (OR) B.A. (OL-Urdu) (OR)B.O.L. (OR) Bachelors Degree with one of the Optional subjectsas Urdu (OR) M.A. (Urdu)
(iv)Candidates belonging to "OC" and "BC" communities shall secure 35% marks (35/100) in LPCET/LPCET-AC to become eligible for admission. However there shall be no minimum qualifying marks in respect of SC/ST candidates for allotment of seats reserved under the respective categories.
(v)The candidates seeking admission should not be less than 19 years of age as on 1st July of the year of conduct of examination for joining in the pandit training course. There is no upper age limit for admission into pandit training courses.
(vi)The minority status of the students shall be decided as per the orders issued in G.O.Ms.No. 57 School Education (Trg-A-1) Department dated 21-3-2005.
