80. Voting procedure.
(1)Before commencement of the poll, the members of general body of the Project Committee present, shall be informed of the names of the contesting candidates.(2)The election of Chairman of the Project Committee will be through ballot papers.(3)Ballot papers shall be prepared containing the names of the contesting candidates in alphabetical order and issued to the eligible electors for the office of Chairman in Form-16.(4)The ballot box shall be arranged to be prepared and placed on the table, in full view of the contesting candidates and demonstration shall be made to the contesting candidates and the members present that the ballot box is empty before commencement of the poll.(5)On the reverse of every ballot paper before issuing to an elector, the following shall be affixed:-(a)name of Project Committee;(b)full signature of the Returning Officer.(6)After receiving the ballot paper, each elector shall proceed to the voting compartment, mark his choice of Chairman on the ballot paper in secrecy and fold it and drop it in the ballot box placed on the table.(7)The poll shall be closed immediately after all the electors present in the special meeting have cast their votes or on the expiry of the appointed time whichever is earlier.
