State of Uttar Pradesh - Subsection

Section 14(c) in The U.P. Pravidhik Shiksha (Admission Conduct of Examinations and Conferment of Certificates and Diplomas) Regulations, 1992

(c)No candidate shall be declared to have passed the First or Second Year Examination, unless he obtains :
(i)at least 33 per cent marks in each subject of Group 'A' : Provided that in the Science (Physics and Chemistry) subject student will have to secure the minimum pass marks in theory and practical separately as prescribed by the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh, Allahabad;
(ii)not less than 33 per cent marks in aggregate in Group 'A';
(iii)at least 50 per cent marks in each theory subject (including sessionals) in Group 'B';
(iv)at least 60 per cent marks in each practical (including sessionals) in Group B';
(v)not less than 45 per cent marks in aggregate of all the theory, praeticals and sessionals of Group 'A' and Group 'B' together and including Disciplinary/N.C.C. game marks.
