Section 116(2) in The Bihar Motor Vehicles Rules, 1992
(2)Where during the period mentioned in the preceding sub-rule-(a)the article is claimed by not more than one person the permit holder may after making such inquiries as he deems fit and if necessary after taking an indemnity agreement from the claimant handover the article to the claimant;(b)the article is claimed by two or more than two persons, then the permit holder may handover the same to the officer-in-charge of the nearest police station.
