20. Director of Students' Welfare-cum-Estate Officer.
(1)The Director of Students' Welfare-cum-Estate Officer of the University shall be a whole time officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Board.(2)The aforesaid Director shall have the following duties, namely :-(a)to make arrangements for the housing of students;(b)to make programmes of students' counselling;(c)to arrange for the employment of students in accordance with the plans, approved by the Vice-Chancellor;(d)to supervise the extra-curricular activities of students;(e)to assist in the placement of graduates of the University; and(f)to organize and maintain contact with the Alumni of the University.(3)He shall be responsible for the custody, maintenance and management of all the buildings, lawns, gardens, playgrounds and other properties of the University.
