Section 3 in Rules of Admission to Medical Colleges in Rajasthan, 1986

3. Eligibility.

- Barring candidates covered under Rule 2(a), and (b) a candidate must fulfill the following conditions for admission to Medical Colleges:-(a)His/her natural father (not adopted) or natural mother (not adopted) has continuously resided in Rajasthan for a period of last 10 years.orHe/She is a bona fide resident of Rajasthan.(i)He/she is a son/daughter of a serving or retired employee of Government of Rajasthan including Officer of All India Services borne on the State Cadre of Rajasthan.or(ii)He/She is a son/daughter of a serving or retired permanent employee of Government Undertakings/Corporations/Improvement Trust/Municipal Board/Panchayat Samities/ Cooperative Bodies duly constituted by the Government of Rajasthan or by an act of law or by Indian Company's Act incorporated in Rajasthanor(iii)He/she is a son/daughter of a permanent employee of any of the Universities in Rajasthan or Secondary Board of Education (Rajasthan): Provided that in the above cases of (ii) and (iii) the employee has put in atleast three years service on the last date for submission of application in the year of admission in any of the above bodies/service.or(iv)He/she is a son/daughter of permanent employee of: Indian Defence/Central Government Services of Rajasthan origin irrespective of his place of posting provided a certificate is submitted by the employee from the employer to this effect stating the State of origin and the home town as given by him at the time of his entry into service.or(v)He/She is a son/daughter of an employee of the Central Government or Institution of the Central Government including Public Sectors undertakings or Corporations situated in Rajasthan and who is permanent and has put in continuous service for last 5 years in Rajasthan.(b)A candidate must have passed The First Year Science Examination of the Three Year Degree Course (Pass/Hons.) of a University in Rajasthan or the Higher Secondary Examination (Science) conducted by a Statutory Board at the end 12 years study under 10+2 pattern of Secondary Education or any other examination recognized by the University of Rajasthan as equivalent to its First Year T.D.C. Science Examination in all the compulsory subjects and the optional subjects of the Medical Group (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) including English as one of the compulsory subjects on the last date of submission of the application.orB.Sc. Examination of an Indian University recognized by the University of Rajasthan with not less than three of the following subjects Physics; Chemistry, Botany and Zoology provided further that he has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects- Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.(c)He/she shall have to obtain atleast 50% marks at the Pre-Medical Test on the result of which above admission to the M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Course will be regulated. Candidates who have appeared at any of the aforesaid examinations but whose results have not been declared before the commencement of the Pre-Medical Test may be given provisional admission to appear at the Pre- Medical Test. The natural born Scheduled Caste/Tribe students may be given a relaxation of 10% in the minimum marks required in the Pre-Medical Test:Provided further that the candidates for admission to the First. M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Course must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, of the admission of the year.Candidates seeking admission on the basis of being bona fide resident of Rajasthan shall submit a certificate, to this effect duly signed by the District Magistrate of the concerned district .Note - (1) A candidate who has passed in the compulsory subjects of General Hindi and General English and the optional subjects of the Medical Group (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) of the First Year Examination of the Three Years Degree Course in Science conducted by a University in Rajasthan shall be deemed to have passed the 1st. Year, T.D.C. Science Examination for the-purpose of this rule.
(2)In case sufficient number of SC/ST candidates are not available for filling the seats reserved under rule 2(c) and (d) then a further relaxation of 3% in the minimum marks required in the Pre-Medical Test may be given, provided that they have secured atleast 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
