State of Madhya Pradesh - Subsection

Section 24(1) in The M.P. Swayatta Sahakarita Adhiniyam, 1999

(1)The board may, by a resolution passed by three-fourth majority of the directors present and voting at a meeting held for the purpose, terminate the membership of a member if he-
(a)intentionally does any act likely to injure the credit of the co-operative or bring it to disrepute; or
(b)wilfully deceives the co-operative; or
(c)has acted adversely to the objects or his act is detrimental to the interests of the co-operative; or
(d)persistently makes default in payment of his dues or fails to comply with the provisions of the bye-laws; or
(e)having been admitted as a member subsequently becomes a member of any other common objective co-operative functioning within the jurisdiction of the co-operative of which he is a member :
Provided that no such resolution shall be passed without giving the member concerned a reasonable opportunity to make representation at the board meeting.
