Section 16(5)(c) in The U.P. Pravidhik Shiksha (Admission Conduct of Examinations and Conferment of Certificates and Diplomas) Regulations, 1992

(c)If a candidate of the Final Year Examination, earns the privilege of Back Papers and is otherwise eligible to appear at the lull examination under Regulation 22 or 25 he may have the opinion of appearing either in the Back Papers only or at the full examination, his result of the full examination as under rules shall be declared.
