69. Safe custody and preservation of polling materials.
(1)The Returning Officer shall make adequate arrangement for the safe transport of all ballot boxes, packets of used and unused ballot papers and other papers in their safe custody.(2)All materials under sub-rule (1) shall, unless otherwise directed by a competent court, be preserved for a period of three months from the date of election and shall be destroyed thereafter in such manner as the Registrar may prescribe.
