(1)The notice for removal of encroachment from waqf property as mentioned in sub-section (1) of section 54, shall be served, -(a)by delivering it to the person to whom it is intended to be delivered or if he is not available, then to any adult member of his family; or(b)by sending it by Registered Post acknowledgment due or by Speed Post at the address where he usually resides or at the last known place of his residence or business; or(c)if such person cannot be found, by affixing the notice on some conspicuous part of the waqf premises and his last known place of residence or business; or(d)by publishing it in atleast two newspapers having circulation in the area wherein the property has been encroached; or by beat of drum in the concerned locality.
