Section 23(6)(b) in The U.P. Pravidhik Shiksha (Admission Conduct of Examinations and Conferment of Certificates and Diplomas) Regulations, 1992

(b)The candidate securing 75 per cent or above in any subject or subjects shall be declared to obtain distinction in that subject or those subjects provided he passes in all the subjects in the same examination.
