Section 96(1) in The Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961
(1)No officer or servant employed under this Act shall-(a)except in accordance with a special or general order of the Council, communicate directly or indirectly the contents of any official documents or information to any member of the Council or to any member of the general public;(b)own, wholly or in part, or conduct the management of any newspaper or other periodical publication except in the discharge of his official duties;(c)take part in or subscribe in aid of or assist in any way, any political movement or organisation carried on or run in any part of India or elsewhere relating to the affairs of India;(d)canvas or otherwise interfere or use his influence in connection with, or take part in any election to a legislative body or local authority otherwise than in the exercise of his vote or in the discharge of any duty assigned to him officially.
