Head room in a Staircase. - The minimum clear head room in a passage under the lending of a staircase and under the staircase shall be 2.1 m.] [Substituted by Chandigarh Administration Gazzette dated 22.1.1993.][82. Provisions of hard rails. - (a) In every staircase atleast one hand rail shall be provided with a minimum height of 90 cms. from the centre of the tread.(b)Where steps are provided from ground to the building hand rail may not be provided, if the step do not go above 1.37 m. in height and not less than 18 m. in width.]
