51. Powers and duties.
(1)The Compensation Commissioner and the Assistant Compensations Commissioners shall perform such duties and exercise such powers of supervision and superintendence over the work of Compensation Officers as may be prescribed.(2)The Compensation Officer shall exercise the powers and perform the duties conferred or imposed upon him by or under this Act or the rules framed thereunder.[Provided that every such order shall have effect in relation to a forest land from such date as may be specified by the State Government in this behalf.] [Inserted by U.P.
