Section 107(3) in Kolkata Municipal Corporation Building Rules, 2009
(3)Every room to be used as a kitchen shall have -(a)unless separately provided with a pantry, an area meant for the washing of kitchen utensils which shall lead directly or through a sink to a grated and trapped connection to a waste pipe,(b)an impermeable floor,(c)a window not less than 1 sq. m. in the area opening directly to an interior or exterior open space, or into any shaft.(d)a flue duct, if necessary.
