Section 5(3) in The Orissa Subordinate Statistics and Economics Service Rules, 1994
(3)(a)The posts of Primary Investigator shall be filled up by direct recruitment from among the candidates having bachelors degree in Arts/ Science having Mathematics, Computer Application, Physics, Economics, Applied Economics, Agricultural Economics, Sociology or Economics or a degree in Commerce.(b)The Statistical Field Surveyor of the Directorate having requisite qualification for the posts of Primary Investigator as required under Clause (a) and having at least five years of service as such on the first day of January of the year of the recruitment and those are within the maximum age of twenty-eight years shall be allowed to appear in the direct recruitment test.
