24. Academic Council.
(1)There shall be an Academic Council of the University, consisting of the following as members, namely: -(a)the Vice-Chancellor- ex-officio Chairman;(b)the Pro-Vice-Chancellor;(c)all Professors appointed by the University;(d)the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan, Home Department or his nominee not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan;(e)the Principal Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan, Higher Education Department or his nominee not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan;(f)the Director, Rajasthan Police Academy, Jaipur;(g)one educationist to be nominated by the Chancellor;(h)two persons nominated by the State Government, of which one shall be a professional of repute and one shall be an educationist having domain expertise in the thrust areas of the University;(i)three faculty members of the University (other than Professors) to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; and(j)the Registrar of the University, Member-Secretary.(2)The term of office of nominated members shall be two years.
