Section 33(1) in Punjab Boiler Operation Engineers' Rules, 2001
(1)A candidate for a First Class Certificate of Proficiency as a Boiler Operation Engineer shall not be less than twenty four years of age and shall not be admitted to an examination unless he possesses :-(a)a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering recognised by the Institution of Engineers (India) for the purpose of exemption from sections A and B of the Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (India) Examination (A.M.I.E.);(b)not less than two years' training in operation and maintenance of boilers and auxiliaries of an industry or power station; and(c)not less than three years practical experience in operation of boilers having heating surface of not less than one thousand square metres.
