(1)The owner, agent or manager of a mine shall provide to every person who works above the first girt of a derrick, safety belt with full body harness and lifeline certified as per standard, that is, IS 3521 of the Bureau of Indian Standard or its revised version and he shall use the same unless otherwise protected against the danger of falling from height.(2)No person shall work or travel from where he is likely to fall for more than one metre and eighty centimetre unless he is protected by certified safety belt with full body harness and lifeline and shall use the same whilst at work.
