Section 1 in Central Provinces and Berar Highway Act, 1936
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Central Provinces [and Berar] [Inserted by C.P. and Berar Act XV of 1941, Section 2.] Highway Act, 1936.(2)It shall extend to the whole of [Vidarbha region of the State of Maharashtra] [Substituted by A. O., 1956 and 1960.].(3)It shall come into force on such date [as the State Government may, by notification] [The Act came into force on the 1st March, 1937, see Police Department Notification No. 109-54 VI, dated the 5th February, 1937, published In Part III, page 345, of the Central Provinces Gazette, dated the 10th February, 1937.], direct.
