44P. Membership of an affiliating society.
(1)(a)A registered cooperative society under the Short Term Co-operative Credit Structure registered under this Act shall be eligible to be a member of a Self Supporting Affiliating Society under short term co-operative credit structure registered under this Act in accordance with the procedure prescribed and notified by the Government.(b)A self Supporting Co-operative Society under the Short term Credit Structure registered under this Act may become the member of an affiliating society, other than Self Supporting Cooperative Society under the Short Term Credit Structure registered under this Act in accordance with the procedure prescribed under the Acts and rules.(2)A co-operative society under the Short Term Co-operative Credit Structure may become a member of an affiliating society of its choice or leave the membership of such society.
