(1)The Government may issue a notification declaring the project area of a major irrigation project, which shall consist of all the distributary areas of the project.(2)The Chief Engineer in-charge of the Minor or Medium Irrigation Project may notify the entire commanded area of the Minor or Medium Irrigation Project to be the project area of the Minor or Medium Irrigation Project.
