Section 30(1) in The U.P. Harcourt Butler Technical University Act, 2016
(1)The Academic Council shall consist of the following members, namely -(a)The Vice-Chancellor who shall be the Chairperson;(b)A nominee of Principal Secretary Technical Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh;(c)All the Deans of University, the Dean of Academic Affairs shall be Member Secretary;(d)A representative of Director 1 IT Kanpur, not below rank of Professor;(e)A representatives of IIT Allahabad and I IT Lucknow (one each), not below rank of Professor;(f)A representative of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.(g)All Heads of Departments, Centres and Units of the University;(h)Professor of the University Departments, Centres and Units, where the Head thereof is an Associate Professor;(i)The Chief Librarian of the University; and(j)Five persons of academic eminence not being the employees of the University to be nominated by Executive Council in such manner, as may be prescribed.
