Section 4 in Andhra Pradesh Un-aided Minority Professional Institutions (Regulation of Admissions into Under-graduate Medical and Dental Professional Courses Rules, 2003
4. Allotment of seats.
- The seats to be allotted in each Un-aided Minority Professional Institution under these Rules for Admission of Candidates shall be classified as:(i)Category-A-(25% of the sanctioned intake of the seats)-Competent Authority Seats for General Students. - These seats shall be filled up through counseling by the competent authority as per merit/ ranking following the Rules of Reservation from the students who have passed the common entrance test held by the State (EAMCET) for that year.(ii)Category-B-(25% of the sanctioned intake of the seats)-(Competent Authority Seats for Minority Candidates). - These seats shall be filled up with the concerned minority candidates through counseling by the competent authority as per merit from the students who have passed the common entrance test held by the State (Eamcet) for that year.(iii)Category-C-(15% of the sanctioned intake of the seats)-EAMCET Ranking Based Management seats for the Minority Candidates. - Seats to be filled up through a common counseling by a committee of managements of the Un-aided Minority colleges/institutions to be constituted as per the schedule prescribed by the Competent Authority or if the minority institution(s) or minority management committee concerned so desire, by the committee of admissions constituted by the competent authority. The seats shall be filled based on merit in the common entrance test (EAMCET) held by the State for that year and with minority candidates concerned who have applied to the committee of Minority Institutions constituted by colleges/institutions concerned.(iv)Category-D-(10% of the sanctioned intake of the seats) - EAMCET Ranking Based Management seats for the General Candidates. - Seats to be filled up through a common counselling by a committee of minority managements of the colleges/ institutions to be constituted as per the schedule prescribed by the competent authority or if the minority institution(s) or minority management committee concerned so desire, by the committee of admissions constituted by the competent authority. The seats shall be filled based on merit in the common entrance test (EAMCET) held by the State for that year and with candidates who have applied to the committee constituted by colleges/ institutions concerned for admission and by following the rules of reservation.(v)Category-E-(25% of the sanctioned intake of the seats) - Management Seats. - Seats filled up by the management of the college/institution giving preference to minority students concerned through any rational and transparent method of selection devised by itself subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India/Government of India/ State Government or if the Minority Institution(s) concerned so desire, by the committee of admissions constituted by competent authority or by the minority management committee.
