11. Departments/Centres.
(1)Each School may comprise of Departments, Centres and/or other academic units, as the Board of Management may, in consultation with the President, determine.(2)Each Department/Centre shall consist of, -(a)A Head of the Department or a person for the time being in-charge of the Department, appointed by the President in consultation with the Chairperson;(b)Teachers of the Department;(c)Such Honorary/Adjunct/Visiting/Emeritus Professors attached to the Department by the Board of Management, upon the recommendation of the Academic Council;(d)Persons (howsoever designated) appointed to conduct or assist in teaching or research in the Department;(e)Such other persons as may be members of the Department as determined by the Board of Management, in consultation with the President;(f)Such administrative support staff as the Board of Management may from time to time allocate.(3)The powers and functions of the Head of a Department or a person in-charge of a Department shall be prescribed by the Board of Studies of the School, under the direction of the Academic Council.
