Section 13(1) in The first statutes of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, 2017
(1)Except in the case of employees paid from contingencies, the employees of the Institute shall be classified as:-(a)Academic Staff - which shall include Director, Deputy Director, Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Librarian, Deputy Librarian, Assistant Librarian, System Manager, Senior Programmer, System Analyst, Programmer, Research Engineer or Computer Engineer, Workshop Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent Workshop, Chief Scientific Officer, Principal Scientific Officer, Senior Scientific Officer, Scientific Officer and such other academic posts as may be decided by the Board from time to time.(b)Technical Staff - which shall include Institute or Campus Engineer, Assistant Institute or Campus Engineer, Junior Engineer, Technical Officer, Foreman, Assistant Foreman, Senior Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Senior Technical Assistant, Technical Assistant, Telephone Operator, Driver, Senior Pharmacist, Pharmacist, Staff Nurse, Dresser, Physical Training Instructor, Assistant Coach and such other technical posts as may be decided by the Board from time to time.(c)Administrative and other Staff - which shall include Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Estate Officer, Security Officer, Horticulturist, Public Relations Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Medical Officer, Sports Officer, Assistant Sports Officer, Counsellor, Assistant Counsellor, Personal Secretary, Personal Assistant, Superintendent, Assistant, Upper Divisional Clerk, Lower Divisional Clerk, Senior Stenographer, Stenographer, Senior Store Keeper, Store Keeper, Multitasking Staff and such other administrative and other staff as may be decided by the Board from time to time.
